Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) is a youth serving organization premised on youth empowerment programs with keen emphasis on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights for young people, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, Behavioral Change Communication, livelihoods and skills development. We target a cross section of 12-30 year old young people in and out of school across Uganda.
Since 2014, RAHU has empowered young people between the age of 18-24 with information and skills on sexual and reproductive health and rights through its annual Peer Educators Academy program. In 2025 the Peer Educators Academy will mark the 11th cohort following the completion of the 10th cohort of 2024. As a peer educator, you will actively participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of various RAHU activities including but not limited to holding peer learning sessions, participating in trainings, mentoring peers, and other RAHU signature events for a full year.
During your year of service, you will also get to network, share experiences and learn from a variety of stakeholders RAHU has built partnerships with. After a successful completion of service as a peer educator, a certificate of service will be rewarded.
