candidate will fill in the below position: –
Ambulance Operator
Main Duties:
▪ Drive the ambulance in all types of emergencies.
▪ Carrying at all times, a valid driver’s license as prescribed.
▪ Respecting all road users, observing road safety and traffic rules and regulations. (These are rules and
regulations).
▪ Ensuring that the Hospital vehicle being driven is mechanically viable and safe.
▪ Ensure proper handover recording during driver changeover.
▪ Carefully examining the vehicle to be driven and ensuring timely reporting of all maintenance issues
to the Transport Supervisor. Thereafter, fill in the vehicle checklist and hand it over to the Transport
Supervisor.
▪ Ensuring maintenance of the vehicles’ cleanliness.
▪ Ensuring that all incidents affecting the vehicles are reported promptly.
▪ Ensuring that the vehicle licenses are valid and availed as per the national traffic regulations
requirement.
▪ Ensuring that any journey(s) undertaken by the vehicle is logged, authorized, and official.
▪ Ensuring that all staff within the vehicle are authorized persons.
▪ Maintenance and care for the vehicle by checking its fuel, engine oil, water, tire pressure, clutch,
brakes, and steering fluids ATF, lights, side mirrors, life savers, fire extinguisher, first aid kit,
indicators, toolbox, gauges, and jumpers.
▪ Minimizing the vehicle running costs by exercising economical driving.
▪ Providing services to the required standards.
▪ Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Required Qualifications for the Position:
• Minimum D+ in KCSE.
• Minimum of two years’ EMT and driving experience
• Valid license BCE
• Knowledge of Emergency Vehicle Operation from a reputable institution.
• Knowledge of First Aid and Basic Life Support from a reputable institution.
