Job Overview
A family-centric transport company based in Karen, Nairobi; is seeking a self-driven and motivated Human Resource Officer to oversee all HR activities. The ideal candidate shall be passionate about training, with the responsibility of ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a positive workplace environment.
Roles and responsibilities
- Lead the HR function processes of the organization from recruitment to offboarding.
- Ensure all new employees are well onboarded and undergo the necessary training programs.
- Provide necessary HR advisory guided by relevant data, metrics, and reports for sound decision-making.
- Professionally handle all employee inquiries and resolve workplace issues.
- Provide primary support on employee relations and ensure compliance with relevant labour laws and regulations.
- Update and maintain employee records, files, HR policies, and procedures.
- Promote a positive work culture through engagement initiatives.
- Develop strategies to improve employee performance and productivity.
- Mediate conflicts and guide disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate performance review processes and support managers in setting performance goals.
- Identify training needs and organize relevant training programs for employees
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions.
- Support the payroll administration process and employee benefits programs.
Promote workplace health and safety standards ensuring compliance with safety regulations. - Manage the training function of the business for external clients.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven 1-2 years experience in HR roles in a school setting or transport and logistics.
- Sound knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- A member of IHRM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
