The Deposit Protection Fund of Uganda (“the Fund”) is a Government Agency established under the Financial Institutions Act Cap. 57 with the responsibility to operate and manage a deposit insurance scheme, to act as a receiver or liquidator of a financial institution if appointed for that purpose by the Bank of Uganda, or to perform such other functions as may be conferred upon it by law.
