KEDA (KENYA) CERAMICS COMPANY LTD – The largest Ceramic Tile Manufacturing Company in Kenya, located along Namanga Road, 6 km to Kajiado town, is urgently seeking to hire skilled workers for the following positions on a casual basis:
1. MASONS (10 Positions Available)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mix and prepare cement, bricks, and mortar for structures.
- Cut and shape materials to meet specifications.
- Assist in creating chimneys, walls, frames, walkways, and other structures.
- Interpret technical drawings and follow instructions.
- Maintain tools and workspaces.
- Lift and carry bricks, concrete blocks, and stones.
- Design and create specific cabinets customized for various spaces.
- Create scale models of products or buildings.
- Complete all stages of woodwork.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production company or a busy construction site.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
2. CARPENTERS (41 Positions Available)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, and joists.
- Design and install fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation.
- Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.
- Select lumber by size and strength to suit job requirements.
- Calculate the number of fasteners required for each job.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other professionals.
- Read blueprints and designs, providing recommendations.
- Create scale models of products or buildings.
- Complete all stages of woodwork.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production company or a busy construction site.

3. STEEL FIXERS (20 Positions Available)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret building and engineering plans and drawings.
- Set out work areas and determine required materials.
- Use hand and power tools to cut and bend steel bars and mesh.
- Lay out steel bars, mesh, rods, and framework.
- Hoist steel bars, mesh, and reinforcements into place.
- Fit spacers and supports.
- Join steel reinforcement bars by welding or using clips or wires.
- Fix steel bars and mesh to solid concrete bases.
- Prepare concrete, mix sand, cement, and water, and pour into prepared casts.
- Create scale models of products or buildings.
- Complete all stages of woodwork.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
