Position: Accounts Assistant

Location: Nairobi

• Overall Purpose: The job holder will be responsible for updating and maintaining our financial database and records, performing regular audits and account reconciliations, , providing customer support ,Process bills, checks, receipts and other documents. Ensure all documents are properly signed and distributed. Verify financial and other data (e.g. tax identification numbers)Monitor financial transactions. Enter data and maintain updated records.Assist with account reconciliations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Book keeping and general Accounting
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets
  • Assembling ,sorting and tabulating codes
  • Arranging and posting of Vouchers
  • Invoicing and reconciliation for various departments
  • Liaising with different departments and clients to ensure proper flow of information regarding their accounts.
  • Posting and offsetting of payments in the system
  • Verifying claims and processing orders and deposit slips in a timely manner
  • Printing tax invoices and claiming Input VAT monthly.
  • Process bills, checks, receipts and other documents

Expected Skills, Competencies & Qualifications

  • They must have a degree in Accounting, finance or relevant field from a reputable institution.
  • Should have a minimum of strictly 0 – 1 years experience in a similar role.
  • Posses ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Be proficient in Ms Excel and have Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
  • Posses ability to work in an extremely high-pressure and high accountability environment.
  • Must have the Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
    Must have Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and Familiarity with finance regulations.
  • Good math skills Organization skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Available immediately.
