RTI International is an independent, nonprofit research institute providing research, development, and technical services to government and commercial clients worldwide. The Food Security and Agriculture division within the International Development Group is implementing the Feed the Future Rwanda Kungahara Wagura Amasoko boost economic growth by facilitating increased high value agricultural export. Kungahara Wagura Amasoko applies a market systems approach supporting Government of Rwanda, the Private Sector and Civil Societies to fulfill their mandates and align incentives to promote investment. Focusing on 13 districts, the project aims to foster an inclusive and resilient environment in which high-value agricultural export businesses can thrive.  This is being achieved through 2 key objectives (i) facilitating an inclusive and resilient policy and regulatory environment and (ii) supporting local actors to attract investment.

Job Summary: (Summarize in a paragraph)

The Operations Officer will support the operations team in streamlining processes by managing administrative tasks and assisting the procurement, Administration and HR processes.

Responsibilities

Procurement and Logistics:

  • Review and update the procurement tracker on a daily basis.
  • Assist in event management, including booking venues and hotels.
  • Processing requisitions for procurement activities under $3,500 USD.

Administration and Help Desk Management:

  • Manage RTI Feed the Future Kungahara Wagura Amasoko project front desk.
  • Assist in printing, scanning, and sending letters to designated recipients and follow up on invitations.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mails and calls, ensuring efficient communication.
  • Manage office premises to ensure tidiness and a safe environment.
  • Assist in managing stock, including tracking balance and ensure replenishment.
  • Receive and orient guests/visitors, by notifying relevant staff as needed.
  • Prepare monthly timesheets for cleaners and facilitate scanning and filing other office documents.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of project assets and overall stock management.
  • Take meeting minutes and manage participants lists.

Human Resource Support:

  • Support in reviewing biodata documentation to ensure compliance for certification purposes.
  • Facilitate the setup of workstations, access to necessary tools, and introduction to the team.
  • Support in coordinating interviews, scheduling, and communicating with candidates.
  • Assist with initial screenings of applications or resumes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Finance Support:

  • Review invoices before payment processes.
  • Manage Petit Cash.
  • Support in scanning and filing finance.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience.
  • Preferred similar work experience in NGO, civil society, or international donors.
  • Preferred USAID work experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
