Tamarind Tree Hotel is seeking to engage a vibrant, energetic and experienced professional, who will play a crucial role of managing our Kitchen Stewarding team. They will be tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in our Kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Kitchen cleanliness, organization, and maintenance.
- Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency.
- Supervise and train Kitchen Stewards, ensuring they adhere to the hotel’s standards and procedures.
- Ensure that all Kitchen and food preparation areas, equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all Banqueting event orders are reviewed and proper set-ups are in place.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager to anticipate guest needs.
- Adhere to HACCP regulations and train Kitchen staff, as well as run audits and be responsible for risk assessment and self-audit.
- Ensure proper management of the hotel’s inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed and maintaining appropriate stock levels according to the hotel’s standards.
- Ensure all equipment is in working condition and report any items in need of repair.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of Kitchen cleanliness, inventory levels, and any issues or concerns.
Monitor the use of chemical and cleaning supplies. - Train Kitchen employees on chemical safety and chemical cost management.
Qualification
- Diploma in Food and Beverage Management, Food Safety or Degree in related field is desirable.
- 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably from a hotel.
Strong knowledge of Kitchen sanitation practices and health and safety regulations. - Understand HACCP requirements and has experience in conducting audits.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
