
Position Overview
- This position is an existing blend between art direction, content design, and communication in the Kenyan financial technology sector
- The role involves the revamping of the company’s image, values and reputation to create a mature brand in the country’s digital payment ecosystem.
- In addition, the candidate oversees the creation of unique brand identities, for each digital payment offer, that appeal to specific target markets
Role and Responsibilities
Work requirements and tasks will be guided by the laid down policies and procedures which is reviewed periodically but will fall broadly into the following Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
Primary Responsibilities and Duties Reception Area:
Corporate Brand
- Manage the JamboPay brand across all platforms (internal and external)
- Plan and execute brand look & feel of the company’s marketing materials to ensure consistency
- Create digital content such as social media posts, emails, blog assets, infographics or digital assets for websites
- Direct media strategies and execution of plans thereof to ensure the right brand messages and understanding by customers and other stakeholders
- Work closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors to drive corporate communications
- Planning and executing periodic brand awareness survey
Product Brand
- Manage the JamboPay’s product brands across all platforms (internal and external)
- Work on content marketing strategies with business development managers to ensure that the company has a strong presence in business, tech and financial media outlets
- Create digital content such as social media posts, emails, blog assets, infographics or digital assets for websites
- Create campaigns that have an instant and positive impact on product awareness to generate demand and revenue
- Planning and executing periodic brand awareness survey
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing/journalism
- 5 years’ experience in a PR or communication agency
- Knowledge of one digital design tool (ex: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Canva Pro, Figma)
- Knowledge of one animation tool (ex: Motion graphics, Adobe Animate, Sparks)
- Submission of a portfolio which showcases the candidate’s previous projects and work
