Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tours Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to create and manage customized travel itineraries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their travel preferences, requirements, and budgets. Provide professional advice and recommendations on travel destinations, tours, and activities.
• Itinerary Planning: Design personalized travel itineraries that meet clients’ needs. Ensure itineraries are well-organized, cost-effective, and align with company standards.
• Destination Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Kenyan travel destinations, attractions, and activities. Use this knowledge to inform clients and enhance their travel experiences.
• Booking and Coordination: Handle all aspects of tour bookings, including accommodations, transportation, and activities. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and local partners to ensure seamless tour execution.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after tours. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Sales and Marketing: Promote SilverBill Tours & Travel’s products and services to potential clients. Assist in developing marketing strategies and materials.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client communications. Prepare reports and update systems as required.
• Feedback and Improvement: Collect and analyze feedback from clients to improve services and tailor future offerings. Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate best practices into tour planning and execution.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure all tours run smoothly. Participate in team meetings and contribute to overall business development strategies.
• Client Communication: Respond to email inquiries in a timely manner (within 2 working hours) and make phone calls to clients to convert sales.
• Invoicing and Payments: Issue invoices and instruct payments to suppliers. Ensure all financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Post-Safari Follow-Up: Conduct post-safari follow-up to gather feedback and provide after-sales service.

Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the travel and tourism industry, ideally handling luxury travel and lodges.
Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Kenyan travel destinations and activities, particularly luxury and midrange accomodations. Familiarity with tour booking systems and software is an advantage.
Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
