Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team, focusing on data analysis for avocado farmers. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and will play a critical role in analyzing data to improve farming practices, enhance yield, and ensure the highest quality of avocado exports.
Key Responsibilities:
– Monitor and analyze produce quality and quantity from avocado farmers.
– Perform detailed costing of each trip, ensuring all calculations are accurately documented in Microsoft Excel.
– Timely inform the field team if any trip’s efficiency is suboptimal or if transportation costs are excessively high.
– Identify and report any quality issues in the produce.
– Gather and manage data from farmers, including listening to their complaints and addressing their concerns.
– Follow up with the accounts department to ensure all necessary documents are submitted by farmers and their payments are processed promptly.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and communications.
– Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
– Collaborate with other departments to support data-driven decision-making processes.
– Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and quality checks.
– Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements in data analysis.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Agriculture, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, preferably in the agricultural sector.
– Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
– Knowledge of avocado farming practices and challenges is a plus.
