DRIVER – USAID FAHARI YA JAMII PROGRAM; AD/8/140/24 – 1 POST
The University of Nairobi is implementing a United States Agency for International Development
(USAID) project (USAID Fahari Ya Jamii) to support implementation of the Kenya Health
Partnerships for Quality Services (HIV, FP/RMNCAH, Nutrition and WASH) in Nairobi and Kajiado
Counties.
The Position
This is a full-time position based in Nairobi.
Job description
The driver will facilitate travel for various activities; ensure assigned project vehicles are well
maintained; ensure motor vehicle use policy is adhered to; maintain vehicle logs for fuel, mileage
and service records.
Job specifications
(i) At least KCSE certificate or an equivalent qualification
(ii) Must have a valid driving license, class BCE
(iii) Must have a valid certificate of good conduct
(iv) Have at least five (5) years’ experience driving in a Public Institution(s) and/or donor
funded programs.
(v) PSV certificate will be an added advantage.
Terms of appointment
This a position whose tenure is one (1) year contract renewable based on performance and by
mutual consent. The salary is negotiable depending on the level of education and work
experience.
