Accounts / HR Assistant

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in HR or CHRP
  • Degree in Finance or related Field and CPA (min, part 2)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years working experience (preferably working in an audit firm)
  • Experience in accounting software (preferably Quickbooks, Sage, Tally or Xero)

Responsibilities

Finance – Assisting the Head of Finance with:

  • Management of payables & reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Manage petty cash accounts (incl month-end reconciliations)
  • Filing & reconciliation of WHT, WHVAT & WH-Rent returns
  • Preparation of payment vouchers, posting & complete filling
  • Review of expenses claim forms and verification of receipts
  • Assist with the inputting of the monthly management accounts for MIS review / preparation
  • Assist to develop and maintain an active asset register
  • Assist in review of departmental and consolidated annual budgets
  • Assist in coordination of external audit
  • Maintain a schedule of company insurance renewals
  • Manage and reconcile company’s fuel account with fuel providers
  • Manage transport / taxi requests and coordinate with contracted companies

Human Resource:

  • Review company’s HR policies
  • Maintain employees’ files
  • Prepare company’s Employee Handbook
  • Day to day management of HR functions
