We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager (North)

Locations: Abuja (FCT), Kaduna and Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

  • Provide Leadership to the Sales team for day-to-day tasks aimed at improving organization’s market position and achieve financial growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that the regional sales target monthly/quarterly/yearly is met unfailingly.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets for each product line.
  • Devise and implement a robust and cost effective Route-to-Market strategy for the Region.
  • Develop new customer base and generate strategies that grow share of pocket, market share, and improved customers’ experience to drive growth of all product lines.
  • Ensuring Top-of-Mind-Awareness for our products in the Open market, QSR, HORECA & other requisite channels with key focus on driving optimum end-user patronage and consumption.
  • Supervise all Trade Market/Channel Development activities of the trade marketing /Sales Team.
  • Day to Day Management – To manage the day to day operations of the regionalsales operation by providing guidance, encouraging team work and facilitating related professional training/coaching, work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
  • To deal with customer complaints/grievances and follow-up with technical team for resolution and support.
  • People Management – Manage effective communication by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing formal and informal feedback on performance and training needs in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
  • To develop second line successor and drive performance through team to take up higher challenges.
  • Reporting – To prepare all applicable reports accurately and on time in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, in line with Company policies and standards.
  • As a Regional Trade Marketing Manager you will have the opportunity to be our first impression on all prospective clients in the region.
  • You will be required to traverse the distribution value chain enlisting discerning trade members into the Sales funnel with the intent to drive market growth & expansion.
  • Intensive market research with focus on expanding the company’s competitiveness by identifying competition activities and activating proactive trade marketing support within the assigned territory.
  • To coordinate with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of interaction and transaction.
  • To access the company/product SWOC/SWOT regularly to identify business growth opportunities, mitigate competitive threats, eliminate internal weakness and showcase our strength to grow sales volumes, market share and profitability.
  • Profitability &Sales Growth Targets – To ensure Sales Targets are achieved as per assigned product and region/key accounts wise via effective deployment and management of approved Strategy and Action plans.
  • Customer Relationship – To maintain good customer data base, manage customer experiences, organize &facilitate various business meets/interface to successfully boost customers’ engagement.
  • To monitor & report on stock inventories, storage ambience, product/SKU distribution and re-order level at agreed intervals.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • Minimum of a First Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related fields
  • MSc./MBA degree and/or relevant professional qualification is desirable and would be of added advantage
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience with at least 3 years in similar managerial role and organization
  • Must have working experience in a Ball Food/ Cereal Company.

  • Territory Management Skills (customer/outlet mapping, call/route plan, volume planning, Market Analysis).
  • You are able to present products and ideas with ease, confidence and persistence.
  • You are not afraid to engage in the sales process and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining Strong Customer Relationship& Sales Team Leadership.
  • Must possess good analytical and computing skills.
