Job Title: Senior Completions / Workover Engineer

Job Purpose
- To provide Engineering know-how for completions, well workover and intervention.
- Delivers expertise on completions/workover/intervention design and program, Contractor / Operator Completions Equipment’ Methods and systems validation. Material selection, stimulation technologies, optimizing completion, work over, intervention designs for rig and non-rig-based operations.
- Monitoring well completions, workover, intervention operations and seeking engineering methods to improve activities and well performance.
Main Responsibility Area
Essential Function:
- Prepare well programs and end of well reports
- Coordinate, review Well programs and End of Well Reports prepared by Completions/WO Engineers.
- Appraising new completion, workover, wireline and well testing technology and products to determine their application completion operations, to improve time cost performance and safety conditions
- Daly operation tracking, emphasis on the critical jobs performed, next courses of action and obtain instructions and clarifications on any amendment to the WORK program.
- Coordinating, Planning and generating procedures for all completion operations and well intervention work
- Work closely with Production and Operations to track well performance and continually optimize well frac design
- Coordinate Contractor Completions Equipment’ Methods and systems validation
- Manage sand control schedule and ensure efficient well cycle time Completions engineering champion, Mentoring and knowledge transfer to younger engineers
- Coordinating and reviewing Completions/Workover technical specification and scope of work for equipment to be tendered and services for completion, workover, slickline, wellhead, coiled tubing and well testing
- Coordinating and reviewing well cost estimates for future operations budgets and current operations AFE, ensuring the reliability of the data provided
- Review work performance of the WO Rig and other service contractors.
- Manage and maintain well integrity for the asset by planning and executing, compilation of risk registers and well barrier X
- Checking and verifying field service tickets issued by third party Service Companies in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
- Coordinate and verify availability of surface and downhole equipment in line with the completion work programs
- Ensure full support to budget and cost performance. Attend meetings, produce reports, create and maintain data base for budget control and issue monthly reports
- Provide technical guidance for the development and optimization of performance standards
- Demonstrate Safety Leadership. Ensure that the Well Completion, Re-completion Workover, Plug and Abandonment programs are implemented in compliance with Company’s EHSQ Policies & Regulations site, and contractors are supervised and motivated to perform job with high technical and EHSQ standards
Non-Essential Function:
- Support other departments as necessary
Scope of Responsibility & Accountability:
- Ability to perform duty with minimal supervision/guidance (70% staff work)
- Accountable for all HSE compliance in the field
- Responsible for all daily report of field activities
- Able to supervise jobs carried out by WE I
- Performs duties in line with guidelines in OER’s WE&S Standard Operating Procedures
Job Specification
- Minimum 12 years cognate work experience in completions, intervention and workover with minimum 2/3 years field supervision
- Good analytical, communication and writing skills, with PC fluency and familiarity with tubular design applications
- Proficient in English language, both in speech and in writing
- Valid IWCF/IADC Pressure Intervention certificate (Supervisor- Surface stack) or equivalent
- A university degree in relevant discipline, IOC or service company experience is a plus.
- High proficiency with IT and industry software.
