Job Title: Account Officer
Location: Jamata Village – Lokoja LGA, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including IFRS and Nigerian GAAP.
- Develop and maintain financial models and spreadsheets to support financial planning and analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, logistics, sales, and marketing, Procurement, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Provide financial support to the management team, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Assist in the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Qualifications / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Up to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG company.
- Professional certification in accounting, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or in progress).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with auditing and financial reporting
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with financial software, such as SAP, ERP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, is an Advantage.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
