
The Audit Clerk will assist in conducting audits, reviewing financial records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations, and supporting internal control measures to enhance financial accountability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Support:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of internal audits.
- Review financial documents, invoices, receipts, and payment records for accuracy and compliance.
- Verify hospital financial transactions against supporting documents.
Compliance & Internal Control:
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential risks, fraud, or irregularities in financial records and report findings to the Internal Auditor.
- Assist in developing and updating internal audit procedures.
Financial Documentation:
- Maintain proper documentation of audit findings and ensure organized record-keeping.
- Assist in preparing audit reports and summaries for management review.
- Support the reconciliation of accounts to detect discrepancies.
Inventory & Asset Audits:
- Participate in periodic stock and asset audits to confirm accuracy and prevent loss.
- Verify hospital assets, procurement processes, and inventory management for proper utilization and cost control.
Process Improvement:
- Identify weaknesses in financial procedures and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with finance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure transparency and efficiency.
- Assist in following up on audit queries and recommendations.
- Report any non-compliance issues or financial irregularities to the Internal Auditor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA Part II or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in auditing, finance, or accounting in a healthcare set up
