The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, including knowledge of PBX systems, DHCP, IP addresses, DNS, and Google Workspace. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Manage and maintain PBX systems, ensuring smooth communication within the organization.
  • Configure and manage DHCP servers to ensure efficient IP address allocation.
  • Monitor and manage DNS settings to ensure proper domain name resolution.
  • Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory.
  • Provide support for remote users and ensure secure access to company resources.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT projects.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of PBX systems, DHCP, IP addresses, DNS, and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and security practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA) are a plus.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports directly to the IT Manager.
  • May supervise junior IT staff or interns.

Expectations:

  • Standard working hours with some on-call responsibilities.
  • Occasional overtime may be required.
