The Decent Work and Social Protection Officer will Liaise with relevant government agencies to deliver expertise and advice in the areas of decent work and social protection
Job description
Joining Enabel as a Decent Work and Social Protection Officer you will be directly reporting to the Project Manager- Social Protection and Decent Work and you will perform the following key tasks;
- You cooperate and coordinate closely with government officials and agencies parliamentarians, and development partners including UN, Civil Society Organizations, research institutes, employer and worker organizations, and private sector
- You support direct grantees (international and national) for the grant planning, implementation, and evaluation
- You provide technical input to tackle gender-based discrimination and Gender Based Violence in the workplace

Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Social sciences, Development studies, or a comparable field of studies
- Master’s degree in the relevant field is an asset
- At least 5 years of relevant professional working experience in decent work and/or social protection together
- A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in Africa in the areas of labor rights social protection, gender-based discrimination, and violence in the world of work
- Demonstrated experience in working with officials of government ministries, Civil Society Organizations, employer’ and workers’ organizations.
- Working experience with Ministry of Gender Labor and Social Development/East African Committee/Parliamentarians is a plus
