Programme Quality Coordinator

CBM is an International Christian Development Organization, committed to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the poorest countries of the world. CBM provides grants sourced from private and institutional donors to local partners, who subsequently implement the grants on the basis of contracts signed with CBM detailing implementation, accounting, and reporting standards. In this set-up, CBM Country Offices (CO) perform control and monitoring procedures aimed at partner projects; control reports from implementing partners to CBM, including comparison with original source documents, project contract and cost plans; and ensure compliance with organizational and statutory requirements.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Programme Quality Coordinator

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full time

These are your Responsibilities

  • Financial Quality Assurance: Oversee financial compliance across country office projects, ensuring alignment with donor regulations and internal financial controls.
  • Capacity Building Initiatives: Develop and implement targeted capacity-building programs focused on financial management and compliance with LCDF donor requirements.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Co-facilitate kick-off workshops for strategic LCDF projects, ensuring that all partners are well-versed in both donor and organizational requirements, fostering a unified approach to project initiation.
  • Learning Forums on Financial Compliance: Co-create and implement finance-related learning forums aimed at enhancing financial knowledge and compliance across COs, sharing best practices, and updating teams on newA wonderful serenity has taken over my whole soul, like the sweet spring mornings that I enjoy with all my heart.
  • Training and Development: Facilitate financial management and donor compliance training for CO staff to enhance their expertise and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of compliance activities and provide regular reports to management on the status of financial compliance and capacity enhancement efforts.

These are your Qualifications

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in Finance or related area would be appreciated.
  • Strong financial acumen, Proficiency in financial software
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex donor requirements.
  • Identification with Christian values and the mandate of the CBM.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial management and capacity building within an NGO environment. Prior experience working with LCDF donors is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel 10-25% of working time (If necessary more than two weeks in row)
