Role Description

Agristainability Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Thika. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will oversee all aspects of HR operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture and driving employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Training and Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and support career growth.
  • Performance Management: Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems to ensure employees are meeting organizational goals.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, resolving conflicts and promoting a positive work environment.
  • HR Policies and Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and develop/update HR policies as needed.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Administer employee compensation, benefits, and rewards programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Workplace Culture: Champion initiatives to promote employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability within the organization.
  • HR Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records and provide regular reports to senior management on HR metrics and trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, CHRP) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in the renewable energy or sustainability sector is an advantage.
