Position:
Transit Operations Manager
MOMBASA, KENYA
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies,Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in transshipments, port operations, or freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of Mombasa port operations, customs clearance procedures and EAC transit regulations.
- Proven experience working with Uganda’s logistics sector and cross-border trade.
- Strong knowledge of customs and port regulations in Kenya & Uganda.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and cargo tracking systems.
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems and optimize processes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage teams and coordinate with partners.
- Experience in handling containerized, bulk, and specialized cargo.
- Knowledge of rail and road freight logistics from Mombasa to Uganda
- Strong background in contract management and supplier negotiations.
• The position is based in Mombasa with occasional travel to Uganda and other East African locations.
