
About the role:
BURN is looking to hire an EHS officer to develop, implement and review BURN Manufacturing OHS policies and procedures, by developing and maintaining safe work procedures for the different sections of the plant. The successful candidate will Work with the OHS Committee in conducting regular risk assessment to identify safety, health & environmental Hazards.
Responsibilities:
- Development, implementation & review of Burn Manufacturing OHS policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance of all EHS regulations and requirements across BURN Manufacturing entities
- Awareness creation & training of all staff, visitors, suppliers & contractors with regards to Health and Safety
- Coordinating safety Induction trainings for all new staff and creating a safety culturewithin Burn Manufacturing
- Conducting safety Audits to ensure compliance with set policies
- Work with the OHS Committee in conducting regular risk assessment to identify safety, health & environmental Hazards
- Leading safety & health risk assessment for any new equipment or process
- Coordinate development & implementation of mitigation measures for any identified hazards
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety laws and regulations in its entirety across all Burn Entities
- Leading of formal Area risk assessment across burn to identify and manage occupationalhazards
- Ensure the integrity of all firefighting equipment and coordinate firefighting equipment service and inspection
- Develop & maintain Safe Work Procedures for the different sections of the plant
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures across different sections of the organization
- Record, notify & keep a statistical record of all incidents that occur within Burn Manufactyring premises
- Continuously work towards achieving a zero incident/ injury in the workplace,
- Developing safety programs and Trainings to be used across all Burn Manufacturing Entities
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledgeable on EHS guidelines
- Experience in manufacturing environment in EHS role
- Should be rigid, decisive and resilient
- Experience with dealing with statutory bodies and licensing
- Previous experience in as a EHS Manager/Officer
