Job Description: Digital Marketing Specialist / Social Media Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist / Social Media Manager with a solid background in the construction or hardware industry, including knowledge of building materials and commonly used hardware items. The ideal candidate should be experienced in using Meta and Google platforms to create engaging content, run effective ad campaigns, and drive business growth.

This part-time/remote role requires availability for one to two days per week for User-Generated Content (UGC) creation and includes responsibilities in graphic design, social media strategy, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Advertising:

  • Plan, create, and manage Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Conduct keyword research and audience targeting for optimized ad delivery.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy to effectively promote our brand and products.
  • Plan and schedule posts across platforms to ensure consistent engagement and audience growth.
  • Monitor performance metrics and adapt strategies based on data insights.

Content Creation:

UGC (Reels & TikToks):

  • Create visually appealing and engaging Reels and TikToks showcasing our products and other relevant content (a high-quality camera will be provided when needed).
  • Utilize trends, music, and creative storytelling techniques to captivate and engage the audience.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm innovative content ideas tailored to our target market (creativity is a plus).

Graphic Design:

  • Design eye-catching posters, banners, and promotional materials for social media and ad campaigns.
  • Ensure all visuals align with the brand’s identity and objectives.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Leverage a strong understanding of building materials, general tools, and power tools to create authentic and relevant content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into marketing strategies.

Organization and Planning:

  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure campaigns and content are delivered on time.
  • Plan and execute campaigns collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines.

Community Engagement:

  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries as needed.
  • Foster relationships with the audience to build brand loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, including running Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns.
  • Strong graphic design skills and demonstrated ability to create high-quality Reels and TikToks (UGC).
  • Solid knowledge of building materials and hardware tools is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and optimize campaign performance.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A portfolio showcasing design work and relevant projects with other companies is required for application.
  • Experience with video editing tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with email marketing and basic SEO practices is desirable.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools is an added advantage.

Compensation:

  • Pay: KES 10,000 – 15,000 per month (based on experience and performance).

Schedule:

  • Part-time/remote
  • Available one to two days per week on-site for UGC creation.
  • Remote availability as needed for strategy and reviews.
