Job description

As an Electromechanical Engineer, you will operate and maintain water infrastructure systems to ensure stable, reliable, and efficient 24/7 water supply and sewerage services. The position will entail approximately 70% fieldwork and 30% office tasks.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include, Amongst Others.

  • Lead in designing and implementing water and sewerage projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead field service activities, encompassing installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing water and sewerage systems.
  • Develop and implement operations and maintenance plans and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to identify technical requirements, troubleshooting issues, and develop solutions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and schedule preventive maintenance of the water and sewerage infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of water and sewerage projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing water and sewerage systems.
  • Promote the Company’s safety practices at the workplace.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have at least 8 years of proven experience designing, operating, and maintaining water infrastructure systems.
  • Must have hands-on experience of at least 4 years in machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and mechanical principles.
  • Proficient in relevant software tools for engineering design, data analysis, and project management.
  • Member of relevant professional bodies – EBK among others.
