Position Summary

We are seeking an IT Assistant to join our team and provide technical support for our computer systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IT principles and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems. The IT Assistant will provide technical assistance to our staff, install and configure hardware and software, and maintain our computer systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues, and act as a liaison between end-users and helpdesk engineers.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems promptly.
  • Document technical support activities and solutions.
  • Install, configure, and update hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and peripherals.
  • Ensure antivirus, backups, and updates are regularly managed.
  • Support the administration of LAN, and wireless networks.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and monitor network performance.
  • Track and manage IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inventory checks.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees with IT systems and tools.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in an IT support or related role.
  • Familiarity with Windows and MacOS operating systems.
  • Understanding of networking concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
