JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and pastry arts, with a strong background in preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating a variety of delectable treats, maintaining consistency in product quality, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, including cakes, cookies, tarts, breads, and more.
  • Ensure the consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all pastry items.
  • Develop and innovate new pastry recipes, keeping up with current trends and customer preferences.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of ingredients, placing orders when necessary to maintain stock levels.
  • Oversee the preparation and baking of all pastry items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, ensuring all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high service standards.
  • Ensure all pastry items are presented beautifully and in a timely manner for customers.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring they are aligned with quality standards and techniques.
  • Stay updated on new baking trends, techniques, and equipment.

Qualifications:

● Proven 3- 4 years experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role in a high-quality café, restaurant, or bakery environment.
