Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the Media and Communications Unit’s vision, mission, and objectives in alignment with the company’s overall goals.
- Business Development: Identify and secure new clients through proactive outreach, market analysis, and strategic networking within the media and communications industry.
- Client Solutions: Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored advisory services that drive impact and value.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and creativity.
- Market Analysis: Monitor trends in the media and communications sector to identify growth opportunities and refine service offerings.
- Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring the profitability and sustainability of the Media and Communications Unit.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the media and communications industry.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and the unit’s operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in media or communication is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, consultancy, or leadership roles within the media and communications sector.
- Demonstrated competency or experience in working within the media and communication industry.
- Proven track record in managing teams and delivering successful business outcomes.
- Extensive experience in strategic planning and stakeholder management within the media field.
- Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of media and communication industry dynamics.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and advanced MS Office Suite.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results under pressure.
- Language: Proficiency in English and Kiswahili is mandatory.
- Added Advantage: Experience with digital media transformation, branding strategies, and media production management.
