Our applications enable savings and loan management through digitization, thus providing accurate, safe, and quick daily operations.

Role Description

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to manage projects from start to finish. Your main office will be in Nairobi, Kenya, but you will have to travel to our other offices.

As Project Manager, you will ensure our customers receive market-ready value-added products and services. You will be vital in managing, training, and guiding the Product development team to solve customer needs and bring economic results to Wakandi. This role is critical in fostering strong customer relationships and contributing to Wakandi’s success.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a project from start to finish. This candidate will be able to create a plan of action that considers a fixed timeline and evaluates risks. This individual should also have experience managing people and be an effective communicator.

 

Responsibilities

Take the lead in managing impactful projects within the value-added service space, with a strong focus on credit-related initiatives. You’ll Develop and implement robust credit management policies, monitor performance, and collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve exceptional project outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will be:

Value Added Services:

  • Oversee the design, launch, and management of new value-added services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify new service opportunities.
  • Ensure that all services meet regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Monitor the performance of all value-added services, making adjustments as needed.

Credit Management:

  • Develop and implement effective credit control policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential customers.
  • Monitor and manage outstanding credits and ensure timely debt repayments.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure credit policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Regularly review and adjust credit limits based on customer payment history and financial circumstances.
  • Coordinate with legal teams or collection agencies in cases of persistent payment delays or defaults.

Reporting:

  • Provide regular updates on the performance of value-added services.
  • Submit monthly/quarterly reports on credit metrics, outstanding amounts, and potential risks.
  • Suggest strategies to improve revenue from value-added services and reduce credit risk

Qualifications

As a Project Manager, you are expected to be highly competent, professional, and technical expert. The role requires a mix of finance knowledge, innovation in service delivery, and robust risk management. You must also be committed to the company’s Mission and Strategy.
