BROAD ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

Merchandisers help a company optimize their sales and profits by ensuring that retail stores are
stocked with the right products in the right quantities. This may include stocking shelves, arranging
and maintaining product displays, pricing products, and monitoring the store inventory. Also, assist in
analyzing sales data to identify best-selling lines and to develop promotional strategies ideas.
Assessing needs of individual stores and how they might differ based on factors such as store size
and their target demographics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that stores, and shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products.
  • Display, arrange, price, and rotate products in store using LIFO.
  • Maintain store shelves by removing dated or damaged products.
  • Monitor store inventory based on sales and intake.
  • Optimize sales volume and profitability by identifying profitable lines and bestsellers.
  • Make recommendations for promotional strategies using sales and pricing data.
  • Collaboration with outlet management and company to ensure all promotions, giveaways or marketing activities are executed properly and timely.
  • Educating and introducing new products to buyers and outlet.
  • Gathering information and communicating on market trends, competitor’s activities and customer reactions/feedback to KDL brands.
  • Basic analysis on sales figures, report on growth ideas, expansion and market shift for timely decision.
  • Work and communicate with buyers and stores staff.
  • Negotiating orders from the stores staff to achieve set targets.
  • Handling supply or production challenges as they arise in allocated outlets.
  • Assessing brands performance of different SKUs and recommending action to supervisors.
  • Following all set SOPs and KPIs under the role.
  • Fill in daily worksheet and location.
  • Any other role that may be assigned by the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Degree/Diploma in business,sales &marketing.
  2. Minimum 1 year experience in FMCG.
