Position: Service Manager

As part of our growth strategies, we are seeking established New Vehicle Sales Consultants to drive new vehicle sales purchases.
Position summary.
Control all the assigned activities within the Workshop ensuring that all work is undertaken in a timely and correct manner thereby always ensuring customer care/satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proactively ensure implementation of company workshop policies and procedures and ensuring compliance.
2. Co-ordinate the development of repair budgets quotations/estimates, and oversee the management of internal workshop operating/repair expenditure consistent with budgets.
3. Participate in the development, manage and achieve stated targets.
4. Developing strategies for enhancing and strengthening the business base of the service centre.
5. Provide administrative oversight of the workshop in ensuring efficiency.
6. Ensure the secure custody of all workshop equipment/customer vehicles.
7. Developing, monitoring and ensure implementation of quality/timely service delivery.
8. Identify, investigate, and analyze operational improvement and as appropriate, based on finding make proposal for operational changes (policies, procedures, processes)
9. Assign and ensure appropriate management of vehicle parts and assigned workshop staff worker’s working schedule.
10. Evaluate, advice and oversee the cost effective and sustainable repair of vehicles.
11. Perform periodic inventory checks and report and ensure correction of any anomalies.
12. On daily/weekly/quarterly/annual basis ensure the preparation, monitoring and coordinate the timely preparation of relevant workshop reports to specific deadlines.
13. Mentor, appraise and review periodic performance of assigned staff and function on daily/weekly/quarterly/annual activities and delivery of target, and submit performance reports as required.
14. Instil discipline and ensure assigned staffs are suitably dressed and ensure integrity of workshop staff.
15. Ensure the workplace and assigned staff complies with health and safety regulations and prepare any special reports as required.
16. Develop external relationships as appropriate e.g. insurance assessors, claims managers, insurance brokers, fleet owners, corporate, NGO and diplomatic users as well as other customers.
17. Establish standards of housekeeping for the whole site and ensure that waste material is controlled and disposed of in accordance with regulations.
18. Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the management from time-to-time.
Qualifications:
- Experience:Previous experience as a service manager, preferably in the automotive industry, is highly desirable.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Customer service: Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping customers find the perfect vehicle.
- Product knowledge: Ability to quickly learn and retain detailed information about our product line and industry trends.
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a member of EBK.
- Team player: Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Leadership; Demonstrate strong leadership and proven experience in workshop resources planning.
- Tech savvy.
