Store Officer – Cement Industry

Description

·        Check all incoming (Inbound) items / Receipts and validate the documents for inspection GRN

·        Ensures Gate pass are prepared for all materials leaving the plant to outside locations.

–   Coordinate and ensure the activities of the receipt and issue bay are seamless.

·       Physically receive material from cargo or consignment and check the delivery notes (Waybill) with reference to Purchase order.

·       Establish and maintain effective inventory control system that guaranteed real time posting of transactions.

·       identify and resolve delivery discrepancies and variances, and implementing corrective action

·       Liaise with user departments to reconcile records especially on critical /insurance parts.

·       Monitor and analyze inventory performance including turnover rates, stock level and obsolete or excess inventory.

·       Provide information on current stock and order to provide justification for reordering.

·       Ensure all faulty credit stock / deliveries are returned to supplier in  a timely manner

– Any other duty as may be assigned by the Head of Stores

Skills and Competencies

·       Proven working experience in book keeping & inventory management

·       Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel.

·       Excellent team player.

– In-depth knowledge of stock handling.

 

Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

BSc/HND in Business Administration/Statistics/Accounting/Engineering 2 – 5years’ working experience in stores & Inventory Management. Knowledge of ERP (SAP) is an added advantage
