Job Description:
As anOperations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our company. You will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively, achieving the set goals. You will manage a team of professionals, monitor planning and budgeting, and collaborate closely with other departments and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily operations in earthworks and farm development.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve project objectives.
- Oversee project execution, including scheduling, quality, and budget management.
- Optimize work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee machine park maintenance.
- Report to the management on project progress and outcomes.
- Train and develop team members to improve their skills and performance.
- Stay informed about sector developments in Tanzania and respond strategically.
Desired Profile:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in earthworks or infrastructure.
- Willingness to relocate to Tanzania for a minimum of 2 years.
- Relevant MBO, HBO, or university degree.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Proven experience in budget management and process optimization.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
- Problem-solving skills with a hands-on mentality.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
- Knowledge of the local market and regulations is a plus.
