Kimisitu Savings and Credit Cooperative Society ‘the Sacco’ is one of the fastest growing
National Tier-1 Deposit Taking SACCOs in the region. The Sacco was registered in 1985
and is regulated by SASRA (Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority of Kenya).
Kimisitu DT Sacco has an open membership majorly drawn from employees of Non-
Governmental Organizations (NGO), Embassies, International Missions, Government
Agencies, Corporates and businesses, in Kenya and Diaspora. We are committed to

Kimisitu Deposit Taking Sacco Limited is seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Marketing
Intern to join our team and help us elevate our brand visibility across key social media
platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube,
and our website.
Position Summary
As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth by crafting
engaging content, executing innovative digital campaigns, and optimizing our online
strategies to boost membership recruitment, deposit mobilization, share capital
contributions, and loan sales. You’ll be at the forefront of our digital initiatives, working
closely with our marketing team to create impactful connections with our members and

Key Responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Intern will be responsible for:
a) Content Development and Management:
▪ Facebook: Manage posts, stories, and ad campaigns aimed at engaging our audience
and driving membership recruitment, deposit mobilization, and loan sales.
▪ Website: Regularly update content, optimize for SEO, and ensure a user-friendly
experience that promotes our products and services, enhancing share capital
contributions and loan uptake.
▪ LinkedIn: Share professional content that showcases Kimisitu Sacco’s achievements,
opportunities, and industry insights, with a focus on attracting new members and
investors.
▪ X (formerly Twitter): Engage with followers through timely updates, discussions, and
industry news, and utilize X Spaces for interactive sessions that drive deposit
mobilization and membership growth.
▪ Instagram: Curate visually compelling content that highlights the Sacco’s culture,
events, and member success stories, aimed at increasing brand loyalty and attracting
new members.
▪ TikTok: Create engaging short-form videos to capture the attention of a younger
demographic, promoting loan products and membership benefits to expand our reach.
▪ YouTube: Produce and manage video content that provides value to our members, such
as educational videos, testimonials, and webinars, with a focus on increasing share
capital contributions and loan sales.
b) SEO and Website Management: Ensure the website is optimized for search engines
with up-to-date content that drives member sign-ups, deposit growth, and product
engagement.
c) Trend Monitoring: Stay informed on the latest digital marketing and social media trends,
including TikTok and YouTube marketing strategies, to keep Kimisitu Sacco at the
forefront of the digital landscape.
d) Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure social media activities
are aligned with overall marketing objectives, particularly in relation to our KPIs.
e) Community Engagement: Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and
inquiries, and build a loyal online community that supports deposit mobilization and
membership retention.
f) Content Calendar: Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent,
relevant, and timely posting across all platforms, aligned with our key performance
indicators (KPIs).
g) Analytics and Reporting: Utilize tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook Insights,
and LinkedIn Analytics to track and report on performance metrics related to membership
recruitment, deposits, share capital contributions, and loan sales.
Knowledge: Qualifications & Experience
• Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing,
Communications, Business Administration, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related
field.
Personal Attributes required for this role:
• Social Media Expertise: Familiarity with platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, X,
Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Content Management Systems (CMS): Basic knowledge of WordPress or similar
tools.
• SEO Knowledge: Understanding of search engine optimization and keyword research.
• Social Media Management Tools: Experience with tools like Hootsuite or Buffer.
• Graphic Design: Basic skills in tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
• Video Editing: Basic proficiency in software like Adobe Premiere or iMovie.
• Analytics Tools: Familiarity with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, or LinkedIn
Analytics.
