International Centre for Reproductive Health Kenya (ICRHK) is a Kenya-based Non-Governmental organization. ICRHK conducts research and intervention projects in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). Some of the specific areas of focus for ICRHK include HIV/STI prevention and treatment, addressing Sexual and Gender-based violence (GBV), improving Maternal and Child Health, promoting Family Planning, and addressing the needs of Adolescents in terms of Sexual and Reproductive Health through research. We invite applications for the following positions to be based in 5 Counties (Kakamega, Kisumu, Nakuru, Samburu and Turkana)
Overview
ICRHK is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individuals to fill the position of MEL Officer for an upcoming USAID Social Behavior Change project. These positions are contingent upon the successful award of the grant. Reporting to the MEL Specialist, the MEL Officers will be responsible for overseeing measurement, evaluation, research and learning activities for social behavior components of Malaria, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Adolescent, Child Health, Nutrition, HIV and Global Health Security across various counties in Kenya. This role involves working closely with county and sub-county health management in strengthening measurement and evaluation of SBC data. In addition, the position requires close collaboration with the project implementation teams and external stakeholders to ensure data-driven decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Records and Information Management, Population Health, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Social Sciences, or any related A Master’s degree is an added advantage
- At least 4 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation for RMNCAH, WASH, Malaria, HIV/AIDS, Global Health Security and TB, at National or County Knowledge on monitoring and evaluation of SBC will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Research will be an added advantage.
- Strong skills in data management and reporting, with experience of using Microsoft and data analysis software such as Excel or
- Demonstrated experience in the use of the Kenya Health Information System, (KHIS) and eCHIS for data analysis and interpretation and wider understanding of MoH Kenya Health Information System Indicators.
- Experience and proficiency in designing and implementing MEL frameworks, Tools and Methodologies. Providing technical support to field staff on
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management
