We wish to fill in the above vacancy at our Business Development Department. Details of the position are as follows:-

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating and facilitating patient care across various departments and services within the hospital. This role involves assessing patient needs. planning and managing care program and closely work with healtheare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with providers, insurance representatives and billing staffs to streamline the billing process and resolve issues
  • Accurately process and submit medical claims using proper coding
  • Review and verify patient information, insurance eligibility and coverage
  • Submit and track claims to insurance companies and third-party payers
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance eligibility and coverage
  • Sending pre-authorization of scheduled and non-scheduled admission within the set guidelines
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving billing issues and discrepancies promptly
  • Following up on pre-approvals sent to insurers and notifying patients on progress
  • Updating medical reports and progress reports to insurer
  • Liaise with doctors on the day-to-day management of patients and obtain medical reports
  • Ensure smooth admission and discharge process of patients
  • Daily reporting of pre-authorizations reports shared to insurance companies
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Nursing/ Clinical Medicine
  • Diploma in Insurance
  • Minimum of three (3) years proven experience a Clinical setting or a busy health insurance environment with Case Management

JOB SKILLS

  • Strong negotiation and Good Communication skills both written and spoken
  • Team Player. Excellent customer service skills, Extensive networking with SP and other medical insurance
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details with good monitoring and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, public relations skills. Good IT skills in database management and office systems
